Two gunmen robbed several pedestrians in Mid-City early Monday, police said.

The robberies began about 2 a.m. in the 5000 block of Wightman in Chollas Creek, said San Diego police Sgt. David Jennings. In the 15 minutes that followed, two similar robberies were reported -- in the 4200 block of View Place in El Cerrito and the 3000 block of 46th Street in Swan Canyon, he said.

Police described the gunmen as Hispanic males in their 20s with shave heads, one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun.

They rode off in a dark SUV with large chrome rims.
