SAN DIEGO -- Two people were arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday, minutes after they allegedly confronted an Loma Portal man in his home, threatened him with pistols, tied him up and robbed him.The residential robbery in the 3800 block of Voltaire Street was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.Marcus Somerset, who lives at the residence, told 10News he heard a knock on the door and when he answered it, two armed men pushed past him, tied him up with duct tape and ordered him to sit on the floor. Somerset said the men took items from the apartment, including a flat-screen television.Once the pair left, Somerset called 911 and San Diego police were at his apartment within minutes, but the scary moments didn't end for Somerset. Police, who did not know who Somerset was, ordered him to the ground and handcuffed him. When Somerset emerged from the apartment, duct tape could still be seen stuck to Somerset's hands and feet. Once police secured the apartment and determined he was the victim, they helped Somerset up and removed the cuffs. When asked about his ordeal, Somerset was initially in no mood to talk."For all I know, I could be dead tomorrow,” he shouted at a 10News crew.Later, Somerset did speak to 10News off camera. He said once the robbers left and he called 911, he was able to give police a good description of their car.The thieves fled in a silver two-door Honda sedan, SDPD Lt. Andra Brown said. About 10 minutes later, officers spotted a car matching the description of the getaway vehicle at Sports Arena Boulevard and Camino del Rio West in the Midway district, pulled it over and arrested the two occupants, who were described as two Somali men.In the back seat, there was a box for a flat-screen TV. In the car's trunk, part of the actual TV was visible. Later, Somerset had his property returned to him.Even though Somerset wasn't hurt, police said the incident could have easily turned out differently."I want to stress that this is a very dangerous crime. If someone's willing to look you in the face with a gun and come in your home, it makes these individuals very dangerous," said San Diego police Lt. Darryl Hoover.
