TUCSON, Ariz. -- A 16-year-old Arizona boy has admitted to killing both of his parents because he wanted to party and his parents wouldn't leave him alone.Police said that is what Zach Egger told them was the reason for killing his parents. The teenager killed his parents Monday, then took their bodies and buried them on the family's property. Police say Egger shot and
killed his mother in the morning, and then waited for his father to come home at lunch, when he shot and killed him.
The parents, Brad and Delyn Egger, worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections and when the two didn't show up for work, their
supervisor became suspicious and called police. Police went to the school and talked to Egger who told investigators he hadn't seen his parents in a couple of days.Police went to the Egger residence Wednesday night. Egger apparently showed police where the bodies were buried and that he confessed to killing them.Investigators say the only remorse that Egger expressed was that he got caught. Police said Egger told them he held a party at the family's house after killing his parents and that he went to Mexico as well.Egger is being held on two counts of first-degree murder.Prosecutors say the teenager will be tried as an adult and that he could face the death penalty if he is convicted.
