Forth Round Of Supermarket/Union Talks Scheduled

Strike To Enter Its Eighth Week

POSTED: 2:16 p.m. PST November 29, 2003
UPDATED: 2:36 p.m. PST November 29, 2003

Negotiations will resume Tuesday between supermarket chains and the union for striking and locked-out grocery workers.

Union officials say they are prepared to work around the clock to resolve the dispute.

The two sides met last Saturday but talks broke off soon after.

Ralphs, Vons, and Albertsons were not open on Thanksgiving Day.

About 70,000 grocery workers went on strike or were locked out on Oct. 11.

Tuesday's meeting will be the fourth round of talks.
