2 Injured After Car Drives Into San Marcos 7-Eleven
Driver, Customer Taken To Hospital

SAN MARCOS, Calif. -- An investigation is under way Friday into a crash in San Marcos in which a motorist crashed her Mercury Grand Marquis into a 7-Eleven, seriously injuring a customer inside the convenience store, authorities said.
The crash at 1650 W. San Marcos Blvd. occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego County sheriff's Deputy Tammy Bennetts.Theresa Peterson was driving at a high-rate of speed through the parking lot and smashed into the front of the 7-Eleven.The crash sent the driver and one customer to Palomar Hospital, the watch commander said. Bennetts said the customer, Carlos Martinez of Mexico, was taken to the hospital with serious head trauma.It was not immediately clear whether Petersen, of San Marcos, would be cited.
