Chargers' Home Opener Blacked Out On Local TV

POSTED: 2:10 pm PDT September 16, 2010
UPDATED: 2:15 pm PDT September 16, 2010

The San Diego Chargers' home opener Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars won't be televised live in the San Diego area because the football game isn't a sellout, but fans can watch it on a delayed basis on the NFL's website.

According to the Chargers, more than 7,000 tickets are still available for Sunday's game at Qualcomm Stadium.

The National Football League's policy requires that all games not sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff be blacked out in the local market.

Kick off for Sunday's game is at 1:15 p.m.

Fans in San Diego can listen to the game live on the radio at KIOZ Rock 105.3 FM and XTRA Sports 1360 AM.

Fans in the blackout area will be able to see a replay of the game on www.NFL.com, beginning at midnight Sunday.

More than 12,000 tickets remain unsold for the Chargers' next home game against the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 3.
