Gunman Robs Denny's In La Mesa

Man Got Away With Cash

POSTED: 4:49 am PDT September 8, 2010

A masked gunman robbed a Denny's Restaurant in La Mesa but no one was hurt, police said Wednesday.

The robber entered the eatery at 4235 Spring St. about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and demanded cash from a clerk at gunpoint, according to La Mesa police.

The clerk complied and the robber -- who wore a blue bandana over his face -- ran away, police said.

He was described as black, in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, last seen wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt, dark baggie pants tucked into white socks, and black and white Converse sneakers.
