PB Main Break Leaves Residents Without Water

SAN DIEGO -- A water main break was reported in Pacific Beach Thursday afternoon, authorities said.The break occurred about 1:30 p.m. in a six-inch main near the intersection of Garnet Avenue and Fanuel Street, said Arian Collins of the San Diego Public Utilities Department.It took about 45 minutes for emergency crews to shut off the water supply and begin repairs, he said.The 1100 and 1200 blocks of Garnet Avenue and the 4500 and 4600 blocks of Fanuel Street were without water, but crews expected to restore service by midnight, Collins said.
