Over 4,000 Without Power In Chula Vista
Power To Be Restored By 10 a.m.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- About 4,600 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the Chula Vista area lost power Thursday because of a suspected problem with an overhead electrical system.Three separate Chula Vista-area circuits lost power between 7:47 a.m. and 7:50 a.m., the utility reported on its website. SDG&E estimated service would be restored by 10 a.m.Elsewhere in San Diego County, almost 1,000 SDG&E customers in the north Poway/Rancho Bernardo/San Pasqual area lost power at 5:19 a.m. Thursday. The utility estimated power would be restored there by 9 a.m.The suspected cause was a problem with an underground electrical system, according to SDG&E.
