CORONADO, Calif. -- A homeowner took matters into her own hands when she realized she was the target of a scam on Craigslist.

Lorraine Eden Hermann rents out her condo in Coronado Shores when she is out of town.

She does not use Craigslist, but this week she found out someone else was using the website and her condo to collect money.

Three potential renters contacted her after they saw a posting on Craigslist asking for money to be wired.

The condo was advertised as $100 a night. Hermann said someone stole her information to scam others.

"I felt like I had been violated, like somebody had broken into our house," she said.

Hermann contacted Craigslist and had the postings removed, but within days, she discovered similar postings for her condo.

Hermann said she is now keeping a close watch on the website and blogging about the scam.
