Man With Tattoo On Thumb Robs Chase Bank

Demand Note Used To Rob Chase Bank On Villa La Jolla Drive

POSTED: 10:07 am PDT August 30, 2010

A man bearing a tattoo on his left thumb robbed a La Jolla-area bank Monday, police said.

The man entered the Chase Bank branch office at 8843 Villa La Jolla Drive at about 9:10 a.m. and gave a teller a demand note for cash, said San Diego police.

The teller complied and the man fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to police, who described him as Hispanic, 45-50 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and slicked back black hair.

No one was hurt.
