NORTH PARK, Calif. -- An armed gunman robbed a medical marijuana dispensary in the North Park area, a San Diego Police Department officer said Friday.

The robbery at the San Diego Holistic Center at 4535 30th St. was reported at 6:48 p.m. Thursday, according to Officer David Stafford.

The suspect, a man in his 20s, entered the dispensary, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, Stafford said. The gunman also robbed two customers as well as the store.

The suspect fled on foot with the cash, Stafford said.

Witnesses described the robber as 6 foot 1 inch tall and weighing about 180 pounds, Stafford said. He was wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and carrying a backpack.

No one was injured in the robbery. The amount of cash the thief made off was not immediately known, Stafford said.
