SAN DIEGO -- A 14-year-old girl who stabbed a classmate in the neck at Crawford High School during an argument over a pair of pants will be sentenced Sept. 14 in Juvenile Court. The defendant pleaded guilty last month to assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and was supposed to be sentenced Thursday, but that hearing was put off, according to Paul Levikow of the District Attorney's Office. The May 11 stabbing happened when the 16-year-old victim got into an argument with two girls, one of whom came up and provoked the victim, her mother told 10News.
According to the defendant's mother, the victim started hitting her daughter, prompting the 14-year-old to stab the girl.
