A tall, well-dressed thief with a shaved head threatened a teller with a gun while robbing a Escondido bank Tuesday.

The bandit, who appeared to be in his mid- to late-20s or early-30s, handed a demand note to a cashier at the Wells Fargo Bank branch on West Valley Parkway shortly before 2:30 p.m., then pulled a black pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the employee, according to the FBI.

The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, which the robber put into a small black bag before turning around and walking out of the bank.

Surveillance cameras captured clear images of the thief, described as a roughly 6-foot-2-inch man wearing a black suit, dark dress shirt and sunglasses, the FBI reported.
