Maria Elena Gomez-Bucio Attempted To Cross The Street Outside Of A Crosswalk

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- Authorities Friday released the name of a 39-year-old woman fatally struck by a vehicle in Oceanside as she attempted to cross the street outside a crosswalk.Maria Elena Gomez-Bucio was struck in the 4000 block of Oceanside Boulevard around 1:15 p.m. Thursday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.Paramedics flew her to Scripps Memorial Hospital, where she died shortly after arriving, the Medical Examiner's Office reported on its Web site.Gomez-Bucio lived with family in Oceanside.
