SDSU Student Punched In Attempted Robbery

Student Assaulted On Hardy Avenue

A San Diego State student was punched twice early Thursday during an attempted robbery near campus, university police said.

The attempted robbery in the 5500 block of Hardy Avenue happened about 1:10 a.m., according to the SDSU Police Department.

The victim, who suffered minor injuries, ran off, police said.

University police described the assailant as black, college age, around 5 feet 10, with a slim build. He wore a black baseball hat, blue track jacket, a dark shirt and white gloves, police said.
