LA MESA, Calif. -- A 54-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of stalking a 24-year-old woman in La Mesa, police announced Wednesday.

Oraha Oraha was arrested in the 8600 block of Fletcher Parkway around 8 p.m. Tuesday, said Lt. David Bond of the La Mesa Police Department.

Oraha was spotted in the area by a security guard who had previously been alerted to watch for Oraha's green 1992 Toyota Camry station wagon, Bond said.

The alert came after police received a report that Oraha had driven by the woman's business on Fletcher Parkway multiple times over the last two months, making sexually explicit gestures from his car on at least two occasions, Bond said.

On another occasion, Oraha walked toward the victim while she was getting in her car and tried to talk to her, he said. The victim does not know Oraha, according to Bond.

Police suspect Oraha might have stalked other women in the area. Bond said anyone with information relevant to the case is asked to call La Mesa police at (619) 667-1400.
