Vehicle Crashes During Race On I-805
No Serious Injuries Reported

CITY HEIGHTS, Calif. -- A vehicle involved in a race Monday night on the Jacob Dekema (805) Freeway went into an embankment.No one was seriously injured in the crash, which was reported around 9:15 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 805 where it meets the southbound Escondido (15) Freeway connector in City Heights, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.An ambulance crew was dispatched but there were no serious injuries, the dispatcher said.There was debris in the roadway but it was not clear to dispatchers whether the two vehicles collided, another dispatcher said.The CHP was investigating the crash.
