UPDATED: 2:52 pm PST March 11, 2010

San Diego police Thursday released surveillance video images in the hope of identifying a man who threw a glass at fellow bar patron, inflicting permanent vision problems.

The suspect threw the glass during a fight at the Lamplighter Bar at 817 W. Washington Ave. Feb. 20, police said.

The glass struck the victim in the left side of the face, according to police, who said the victim suffered multiple lacerations as a result and will require future cosmetic surgery.

Police described the suspect as white, about 30-35 years old, 5 feet 10 to 6 foot, with dark brown hair. He was wearing a blue-striped long sleeve shirt and was seen with a white female companion, possibly his spouse, police said.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477, or via www.sdcrimestoppers.com.
