Small Quake Rattles Escondido Area

SAN DIEGO -- A 3.5-magnitude earthquake jostled northeastern San Diego County Wednesday, but no damage or injuries were reported.The quake, centered about three miles east of Lake Henshaw, struck at 5:39 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.It was the second quake to occur in the same general area today. At 2:05 a.m., a 3.0-magnitude temblor hit, centered about 12 miles east-northeast of Escondido and 41 miles northeast of San Diego, the USGS reported.
The early-morning quake also caused no known problems.
