Deputies Probe Suspicious Escondido-Area Death

ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- A person was found dead under suspicious circumstances Tuesday at a home in a rural North County neighborhood, a sheriff's lieutenant said.The death in the 29300 block of Costalota Road in the Escondido area was reported shortly after 1 p.m., Lt. Harold Turner said.Deputies confirmed the fatality, then called in homicide detectives due to some sort of suspicious evidence at the scene, according to Turner. The nature of those unusual circumstances were not immediately clear, the lieutenant said.Sources told 10News authorities are looking for a "person of interest" described as a 25-year-old male with black wavy hair, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
