Gunman Robs Carlsbad Subway Shop

CARLSBAD, Calif. -- A gunman robbed a Subway sandwich shop in Carlsbad while two customers and an employee were present, but no one was hurt, a police lieutenant said Tuesday.The gunman entered the restaurant at 2540-A El Camino Real around 9:10 p.m. Monday and demanded money from the employee behind the cash register, said Carlsbad police Lt. Bruce May.The employee complied and the gunman fled of foot westbound with an undisclosed amount of cash, May said.Police described the gunman as being 25-30 years old and armed with a silver revolver.
