Palin Says Notes On Hand Just Like God
Crib Notes Seen During Speech
POSTED: 7:59 am PST March 9, 2010
In February, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was criticized for having talking points written on her hand at a question-and-answer session after a speech at a tea party convention in Nashville.Palin now says it just puts her in good company."Hey, if it was good enough for God -- scribbling on the palm his hand -- it's good enough for me," she said.People online mocked her for doing it, and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs took a jab by writing items on his own hand.Palin said that she felt justified after reading Isaiah 49:16, which reads, "Yet will I not forget thee. Behold I have engraved thee on the palms of my hands," CNN's Jeanne Moos said.Palin has already poked some fun at herself over the outcry, appearing with Jay Leno in a gag suggesting he use her hands instead of cue cards.
