2 Killed In Encinitas House Fire
1 Man, 1 Woman Killed In Fire

ENCINITAS, Calif. -- Authorities released the names Wednesday of two senior citizens killed in a North County house fire.Edna Lambert, 83, and 81-year-old Nick Rodriguez, an amputee who used a wheelchair, were unable to get out of their single-story home on Regal Road in Encinitas after it caught fire about 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to the fire department and county Medical Examiner's Office.Lambert and Rodriguez died of smoke inhalation as flames engulfed the residence. The house was a complete loss.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
