Woman Attacked While Jogging In Chula Vista
Woman Punched, Kicked By 2 Men

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- A search was under way Thursday for two men who punched and kicked a 23-year-old woman in the head and stomach while she was jogging through a park, police said.The woman was jogging through McCandliss Park in the 400 block of East J Street when her attackers jumped her from behind around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.They knocked her to the ground, then punched and kicked her in the head and stomach, police said.The woman was able to call for help using her cell phone after the men ran off, police said, adding that it did not appear the men tried to sexually assault the woman.She was treated at a local hospital for her injuries, none of which were life-threatening, police said.Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Chula Vista police at 619-691-5151.
