Torch Used To Remove ATM In Scripps Ranch

SCRIPPS RANCH, Calif. -- Thieves used a torch to remove an automated teller machine from a Bank of America kiosk in Scripps Ranch Wednesday morning but left the damaged money dispenser behind, police said.The incident at 9970 Scripps Ranch Blvd. was reported at 4:09 a.m., said San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.It was not immediately clear whether any cash was removed from the ATM before the thieves fled, according to the sergeant.
