FBI Statement
On occasion the FBI will enlist the help of cooperating witnesses to assist in terrorism and criminal investigations. A cooperating witness is someone who has agreed to testify in court proceedings as a result of their voluntary participation in an investigation. In an effort to protect the identity of these individuals, the FBI does not disclose their identity absent a court order or exigent circumstances. Individuals who cooperate with the FBI are expected to abide by the law during and after their cooperation with the FBI. Those who violate the law are subject to criminal prosecution like any other citizen.Darrell Foxworth
