Authorities released the name of a man who gunned down his former boyfriend in the victim's City Heights condominium before turning the gun on himself Monday.

Robert Paul Agnew, 41, shot 40-year-old Eric Schulthise multiple times before shooting himself in the head, according to police and the county Medical Examiner's Office.

Officers checking on the welfare of Schulthise at the request of a concerned co-worker found the men's bodies in the victim's residence in the 3700 block of Wilson Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. Friday.

Schulthise hadn't shown up for work for several days, SDPD homicide Lt. Ernie Herbert told reporters.

Agnew and Schulthise had dated for a time before one of them called off the relationship. Schulthise reportedly told a neighbor recently that he was being stalked by someone he had been seeing.
