Broken Gas Line Pinched, Evacuees Allowed Back In Area

A Backhoe Digging In A Parking Lot Ruptured A Gas Line In The 6000 Block Of South Fanita Road

A gas line broke Monday morning after a backhoe digging in a parking lot struck the line. The break occurred at the 6000 block of South Fanita Road at about 10:15 a.m. San Miguel Fire was able to pinch the severed line and is slowly allowing people back into the area. An estimated 50 people were evacuated from the surrounding area.
