Sheered Fire Hydrant Creates Mudslide, Floods Business

SABRE SPRINGS, Calif. -- A motorist backed over a Sabre Springs fire hydrant, sending a torrent some 50 feet in the air that saturated a hillside and flooded the area, authorities said Tuesday.The non injury accident in the 10600 block of Wexford Street was reported at 10:37 p.m. Monday and caused about $50,000 damage, according to a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher. It took crews about 30 minutes to shut off the water, she said.
Dave Dehaan, who owns Dye Precision, a paintball business on Scripps Summit Court, told other news outlets that his warehouse was inundated with several inches of water.
