Nebraska Man Says Ex Sought Revenge For Online Flirting

An Omaha man said romance turned to revenge when he was victimized by his then-girlfriend and then exposed on Facebook.

Sylvester Porchia, 28, told KETV-TV in Omaha he isn't shy about sharing what happened in his bedroom.

"A night of fun just turned into a nightmare for me," he said.

He said that he didn't realize his 21-year-old girlfriend had caught him flirting with another woman on Facebook.

He said he also didn't know that she had his Facebook password until he had agreed to be handcuffed to his bed and photographed.

"I'm just asking her, 'Can you please take the cuffs off?' She said she lost the cuff key," Porchia said.

And then, he said, she walked out.

"The last thing I heard was, 'Bye, Sylvester," he said.

After 45 minutes, Porchia said he figured that she wasn't coming back, so he had to free himself.

"I was so upset," he said. "I just lift, lift, lift for about 30 seconds, and by the grace of God, the middle part snapped."

He said he immediately called his girlfriend.

"She mentioned something like, 'I'm tired of you playing games with me. It's my turn to play games with you.' I'm like, 'Who plays games by leaving someone handcuffed for an hour?' She started laughing and hung up," he said.

As soon as she hung up, Porchia started getting calls from friends who wondered why he was posting pictures of himself on Facebook, naked and handcuffed to a bed.

He filed a police report and got a protection order against his now ex-girlfriend.

"If the shoe was on the other foot, if a male did this to a female, the community would be in an uproar," Porchia said. "There's no doubt I would be sitting in jail."

Porchia's ex-girlfriend declined to comment for the story. Police are investigating possible charges of domestic assault and false imprisonment.

Porchia said she needs to learn a lesson.

"No one deserves to be treated like that," he said.
