Oceanside Teacher Accused Of Sex With Underage Student

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- An Oceanside teacher was arrested Thursday for allegedly having sex with a minor, 10News reported.According to the Oceanside Police Department, Corey Hogue, a 37-year-old Oceanside High School teacher, was arrested and charged with two counts of rape and two counts of lewd and lascivious acts.Detectives said the alleged crimes began when the female was 15 years old, and it lasted over two years. The girl contacted police in October and told them about the incidents. Detectives believed they had enough probable cause to arrest Hogue after speaking to the alleged victim.
Police said the alleged crimes occurred at Hogue's home in Oceanside. Hogue is married and has two children, according to police.Hogue was hired by the Oceanside School District in August 2006 as a physical education and health teacher. He was previously a teacher at Orange Glen High School in Escondido.School district officials said Hogue was placed on administrative leave on Oct. 30, pending the outcome of the investigation.
