Pedestrian Hit By Car In Old Town

SAN DIEGO -- A male transient who crossed a street against a red light near Old Town was hit by a car and sustained serious injuries, police said Saturday.The transient, who is in his 50s, was at the intersection of Camino Del Rio at Kurtz Street when he crossed Camino del Rio against a red light, into the path of a car in the westbound lanes, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.The pedestrian was transported to UCSD Hospital where he was treated for head injuries and a fractured leg, Stafford said.
No arrests were made, he said.
