Motorcyclist Dies After Crash On Miramar Road

SAN DIEGO -- A man was killed Friday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Miramar Road, police said.The accident near Camino Ruiz was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to San Diego police. Medics took the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.Police shut down the westbound side of the thoroughfare, where the crash occurred, and all but one eastbound lane to allow for investigations and cleanup.The motorcyclist's name was withheld pending notification of his family.
