3.6 Quake Rattles Border Area

SAN DIEGO -- A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck early Tuesday near the U.S.-Mexico border, but no damage or injuries were immediately reported in the San Diego area.The earthquake was recorded at 2:56 a.m. and was centered about 9 miles west of Calexico and 11 miles south-southwest of El Centro, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
