UPDATED: 2:56 pm PDT October 28, 2009

A masked man broke into a Lincoln Park home and took jewelry from a 63-year-old woman Wednesday and left her tied up with an electrical cord, police said.

The home invasion in the 4900 block of Imperial Avenue occurred around 6:45 a.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.

The adult daughter of the victim interrupted the robbery and was shoved, as the masked man ran out of the home with the jewelry, the sergeant said. Neither she nor her mother were injured.

Police described the robber as black, 25-30 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches, with a thin build. He wore a brown jacket and blue jeans, Battrick said.
