2 Teens Arrested After Otay Mesa Hit-And-Run

SAN DIEGO -- Two teenagers are in custody Wednesday following a hit-and-run crash in Otay Mesa that sent a 17-year-old boy to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.The crash at Beyer Way and Picador Boulevard occurred around 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.The injured boy was driving eastbound when his vehicle was struck by an SUV driven by one of the two teens in custody, Delimitros said, adding that the SUV fled.A witness followed the SUV and called police, who later found the vehicle and arrested both occupants, according to Delimitros. Their ages and genders were not immediately released.Paramedics flew the injured teen to a hospital with a collapsed lung, fractured clavicle and a lacerated spleen.
