Professor Sues Over Racy Pictures Of Her Posted Online

Aned Gracia Is An Award-Winning Teacher At Several Colleges

Racy photos of a local college professor have been plastered all over the Internet without her permission, she told 10News. Now, she's suing the photographer who took them.

Aned Gracia is an award-winning teacher at several colleges in San Diego, including Mira Costa and Southwestern College. She told 10News that her reputation has been ruined because of a modeling shoot she did as a college student.

They were supposed to be modeling pictures but instead a photographer is accused of manipulating them.

"You cannot explain his behavior in any way other than it's sociopathic. It's scary and he's got some sort of disorder and she's terrified," Gracia's attorney, Dan Gilleon, said.

Gracia is a professor of European languages who claims San Diego photographer Rocky Forgoson posted obscene photos of her.

"Clearly without telling Ms. Gracia that he was going to do this was use high-resolution digital photography and then zoomed in on different parts of her body and then deliberatley posted those on Web sites people could see Ms. Gracia's private parts."

In 2001, the teacher saw an ad in a newspaper looking for models. Gracia was a grad student at UCSD who wanted to make extra money. The teacher trusted Forgoson -- especially, she said, because he was a disabled man in a wheelchair.

But instead "he fell in love with her; became infautatuated with her," Gilleon said.

Many of the photos are so explicit we can't show them. He also posted comments like one that says, "I love you so much and would like to spend the rest of our life together -- rocky."

Gilleon said, "Mr. Forgoson essentially lost it."

Gilleon said the photographer has done this before. "Back in 1992 Mr. Forgoson did the same thing to another model. It was very eerie how these stories are very similar," he said.

In a phone interview, Forgoson said the professor is an old friend. He said she signed a release form and he has every right to post the pictures. A criminal case involving a violation of a restraining order is set to start next week.

10News learned that Forguson reportedly rented a space from Gary Whiteside, a professional photographer who was charged with 51 counts of molesting and photographing nine girls between the ages of 11 and 15. Whiteside is also accused of possessing child pornography.
