Park View Falls To Texas Squad At LLWS

SAN DIEGO -- The Park View Little League All-Stars were defeated 6-3 by McAllister Park American Little League, a team out of San Antonio, Texas, at the Little League World Series on Tuesday evening.Park View, from Chula Vista, suffered their first defeat in Williamsport, Pa., after easily winning their first two games of pool play by a combined 29-0 score. Park View last lost a game on Aug. 1 against Torrance.Travis Daves and Wyatt Willis each hit two-run homers as Texas stayed undefeated. Daves' homer followed a two-run triple by Drew Brooks to put Texas up 4-2 in the third.Park View got a run back in the fourth before Willis' bomb to straightaway center to give Texas a three-run cushion. Willis, a 13-year-old outfielder, stomped on third base in delight before getting bombarded by teammates' high-fives at the plate.Park View, the second-place team in Pool B, will take on Warner Robins American Little League, a team from Warner Robins, Ga., on Thursday at 1 p.m. Pacific time.
