Cruisin' the Gulf.
On our journey through Kuwait we found an interesting phenomenon. One of the longest streets here runs parallel to the gulf. No surprise, it's called Arabian Gulf Street.
As Richard and I were headed back after our live report on 10News, it was about 4:30 a.m. and it looked like the entire country was on Gulf Street.
In their BMWs, Mercedes, Jags, and virtually everything else, Gulf Street was transformed. With their windows down and Arabic rap blasting from their stereos, cruise night was on.
Adding to the fun, several guys on Ninja bikes doing wheelies. There were even guys on atv's cruising the center island of the street. It was the wierdest parade we ever saw, and it was all guys.
Remember, this is an Islamic nation, so no girls were there for all
this, and of course no alcohol, so no bars.
Replace the Arabic rap music with a little Beach Boys "409," well you get
the picture.
The journey continues...
