SAN DIEGO -- A parolee fatally shot by sheriff's deputies as they tried to take him into custody Friday was a suspect in the recent murder of a Chula Vista real estate agent, 10News reported.
The shooting in Vista occured Friday as the suspect charged sherriff's deputies.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Sunday, authorities identified the suspect as Jessie Gadudaur, 27, a transient who was a parolee suspected of murdering Janet Donald, 44, a Chula Vista real estate agent, said Chris Saunders of the sheriff's department.
Donald's body was found early Thursday in the trunk of a burning car along the San Dieguito River near Del Mar Racetrack. She was last seen Wednesday when she went to a dental appointment, 10News reported.
Witnesses said they saw Gadudaur with Donald at a Chula Vista home on Wednesday, Saunders said. Other witnesses and a surveillance video from a convenience store on Via De la Valle in Del Mar placed Gadudaur near where the burning car was found, Saunders said.
Deputies spent Sunday at the Chula Vista house where the suspect and murdered woman were allegedly seen.
A motive for the murder was not known.
