Woman Hospitalized After Roseville-Area Crash

A 55-year-old woman is hospitalized Wedneday with two broken vertebrae and a fractured hip following a two-car crash in the Roseville area, police said.

The woman was driving a Volkswagen northbound on Scott Street when she attempted to turn onto westbound Nimitz Boulevard shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday and was struck by another motorist headed eastbound on Nimitz Boulevard, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

The woman was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital after emergency crews freed her from her vehicle, according to Delimitros.

No other injuries were reported.
