SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police Saturday are looking for a gunman who robbed and pistol-whipped a Gaslamp parking lot attendant, police said.

The employee at Ace Parking at 908 Sixth Ave. gave directions to a 20-something black man in a dark-colored ball cap, gray jacket and dark sweatpants about 10:30 p.m. Friday and, an hour later, the man came back, pointed a black semiautomatic pistol at him and took his cash, said San Diego police officer Brad Ruff.
