2 wounded in San Marcos drive-by shooting

SAN MARCOS - A drive-by shooting believed to have been gang-related left two men wounded in San Marcos, sheriff's officials said.
The two victims were shot at about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Pico Avenue and West Mission Road, sheriff's Sgt. Mike Arens said.
One victim suffered several small caliber gunshot wounds to his chest and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Arens said. The other victim was shot once in his chest and hospitalized in stable condition.
