2 taken into custody after brawl in Chollas Creek

SAN DIEGO - A man was stabbed in his hand during a brawl involving several men in an apartment building's parking lot in the Chollas Creek neighborhood, police said Monday.

The victim and another man were walking through the parking lot on University Avenue near 50th Street about 11:20 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by three or four other men, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

A fight ensued, in which one man drew a knife and stabbed the victim in his hand, Delimitros said. The wound was not considered to be life-threatening, he said.

Police took two of the alleged assailants into custody following the altercation, Delimitros said. Neither man's name was immediately released.
