Two employees at a Mexican restaurant in the Rolando neighborhood were forced to the ground and robbed by two armed men early Saturday morning.

According to San Diego Police, two men with handguns entered the Alanbertos Mexican food restaurant in the 6100 block of University Avenue at about 6:40 a.m. through an unlocked back door.After the gunmen forced the employees to the ground, they took their wallets and the restaurants cash register. Neither restaurant employee was hurt.The suspects got away into a black car driven by a female driver who was waiting about a block away at Rock Street and College Avenue.One suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall, 180 pound black man with a goatee. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and a red beanie hat. The other man was described as a black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black beanie.A witness provided a license plate number of the getaway car, which was determined to be a stolen 2008 Ford Fusion. National City Police later found that car abandoned at 2700 Peyton Place in National City.Police remain looking for both suspects Saturday evening.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
