SAN DIEGO - Two people who were stranded in a powerboat near Point Loma were rescued Thursday.
Lifeguards received a call about the boat after 8 a.m.
Rescuers were able to get to the 6-foot-long powerboat and the two people were taken to the Shelter Island Police Dock.
The boat, which crews tried to salvage, sank at around 9 a.m.
