At Hilltop High School's graduation Friday, Sgt. First Class Hector Marrujo surprised his daughter, Bianca. As she walked into a classroom before the ceremony, he appeared on a large screen via Skype from Afghanistan.

Bianca broke down in tears as she spoke to her father, who is on deployment with the Army National Guard in Kandahar Province.

"I wish you were here," she said through her tears.

Afterwards, she told 10News, "I'm very happy I saw my dad. I mean, he usually does big things for me, but never this big."

The other surprise was reserved for Cary Campbell Jr. as all the graduating seniors were in the school gym.

The school's vice principal called him to the front and announced that his father, Navy Sr. Chief Cary Campbell, managed to cut his deployment short to come to his son's graduation. To the cheers of students, the Campbell and his son hugged.

"Even on deployment, I always kept up with his schoolwork, all leading up to this day," Campbell said.

Marrujo was able to see his daughter graduate thanks to a computer.
