2 injured after crash in Paradise Hills

SAN DIEGO - Two people were injured after a car lost control and crashed in Paradise Hills on Monday.

The incident occurred on Parkside Avenue near Vesuvia Way at about 8:40 p.m. The driver of a Honda Civic traveling along a curve in the road lost control of the car, which then struck a parked car before coming to rest in a flower bed.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the driver and passenger from the wreckage.

Both were transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital to be treated. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
