SAN DIEGO -- A SigAlert was issued Wednesday morning after a crash involving six vehicles left two lanes on Interstate 15 in the Rancho Penasquitos area blocked for about an hour, authorities said.

The non-injury crash on the southbound side of the freeway, just south of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard, was reported at 8:01 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A SigAlert was in effect until 9:09 a.m., the CHP reported.

An ambulance was called to the scene but no one was taken to the hospital, a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher said.
